Roofy aint that full of it, although being able to displace that much water would be a crowning achievement that would make any man proud.

In Florida's tiny Gulf Breeze, Police Chief Peter Paulding is pursuing a state grant to replace the internal combustion engines in three of his department's 20 Crown Victorias with electric motors. He wants to see if the greener engines withstand the rigors of police work.
OK and he is going to have 1,000 pounds of batteries in the trunk and the range will be what?
I do wish people would think about things before they say them and reporters think a bit before they report!

Mccain and Gingrich are believers and are for Cap and Trade.
Several times and excange e amils with newt several times a week. Both are excellent men and excellent politicians. I happen to think they are wrong on CO-2 warming and 30,000 other scientists also think they are wrong. This is changing in public opinion.
So are we doomed?
There is one way we could save ourselves and that is through the massive burial of charcoal. It would mean farmers turning all their agricultural waste - which contains carbon that the plants have spent the summer sequestering - into non-biodegradable charcoal, and burying it in the soil. Then you can start shifting really hefty quantities of carbon out of the system and pull the CO2 down quite fast.
Do you think we will survive?
I'm an optimistic pessimist. I think it's wrong to assume we'll survive 2 °C of warming: there are already too many people on Earth. At 4 °C we could not survive with even one-tenth of our current population. The reason is we would not find enough food, unless we synthesised it. Because of this, the cull during this century is going to be huge, up to 90 per cent. The number of people remaining at the end of the century will probably be a billion or less. It has happened before: between the ice ages there were bottlenecks when there were only 2000 people left. It's happening again.

My 2 cents...........It's all about money, scare the hell out of people get big Government grants to study the problem, come up with a bunch of B.S. data, then ask for more grant money to study the problem further, then more grant money to come up with a solution, then more grant money for alternate solutions. During the time frame that this research and solutions are going on if the climate rises a few degrees, it 's "see we told you". If the temperatures drops a few degrees it is still because of the effects of global warming. This is unbelievable.......how long have we been able to keep accurate world temperatures and how old is the Earth? How is it possible to know that this is just not the cycle of the earth? We are fleeced in eveyway and in every direction. Ahhhhhhhhhhhh I give up, I am going to the hill country and by a few acres and live off the land....I got my shotgun rifle and my 4 wheel drive, a country boy can survive!

Weather cycles are often over thousands of and possibly millions of years. Some have happened long before Carl Benz invented the car. Way long before.
