Leave of absence

I'm going to disappear for a while.

When I first joined the military I was trained as an MP and found that (at least some of the time) fun and interesting. I have been thinking about those old days lately and have applied to enter the next law enforcement academy so I can get certified to work as a police officer or, more likely, a sheriff's deputy in my home town.

I have a ton of things to finish up to get ready for this training which runs 29 hours per week for nine months on top of my two (more or less) full time jobs. We do not have internet access at home and I'll have much less time to come to town to get on the net, so it'll probably be the case that I'll just remain offline for much of the next year.

I'll try to stop in for a quick note now and then. I wish you guys the best.

You're going to work as a minion for government?? I thought you hated laws.

Just pokin at ya.

Anytime you start to feel comfortable in your job is the time you should quit and go learn how to do something else. This is what you are doing and I admire you for it.

Good Luck!
