Oil Going Up...Again!

Go figure. Just in time for the Labor Day weekend.

I love that the dirty word, SPECULATION, is used in the title!

Gee, someone is willing to bet their money that the first hurricane in the Gulf of Mexico in three years may disrupt production and make crude less available and therefore more valuable.

Big deal.

So, I guess we are done talking about anything that involves fossil fuels then?

Gotcha, no more from me.

It's no surprise to me, they are still looking for any reason to keep the prices up. Hurricane Gustav is all the fuel they are going to need for another fine rally since it seems dead set on the middle of the gulf. Go fill your tanks!

CNG Ford Contours have a natural gas tank in the trunk and still have a regular fuel tank if CNG is not available.

It runs on either with a flip of a switch.

Oil at $1.06

Down from $147.27!!

Light, sweet crude for October delivery fell $1.69 to $106.20 a barrel in midday trading on the New York Mercantile Exchange, after falling to $105.13, its lowest trading level since early April. Since surging to a record $147.27 a barrel on July 11, crude has dropped by over $40, or more than 27 percent.

Thats pretty good Domenic, but McCain is against drilling in Alaska.

I hope we get to see her more than we do Cheney! It doesnt matter what side of the aisle you are on, we can all agree that she is a babe!

Back on topic: Does anyone have the numbers of where diesel was at when oil hit $106.00 on the upswing? I thought it was right around $3.60.

It was $4.11 (cash) at Flying J in Ripon yesterday on my way home from work. I have noticed it slowly going down, was $4.13 two days before that. Which reminds me I need to go up there and fill up
