Shipping from ID to NJ

I'm thinking about getting a set of dozer tracks and sprockets brought to NJ from ID. If I ship these commercially the cost is about $1500 for the 4,500 lbs of iron. The salvage yard thought that was high and suggested I may want to check with truckers who travel in the areas and may be looking a load rather then coming back to the east coast empty.

So I'll start here ...........

Before I start thinking, hey, I've never been to Idaho, I'm unemployed, and this will fit on my trailer.

Go for it. A trip to Idaho would be good for a New Jersey boy. Go next month and stop at the SEMA show in Vegas.

First got to take care of our little 25th wedding anniversary. Being in Vegas anywhere around that time would be a touchy discussion.

Here's a silver plated toaster, I'm leaving for Vegas .......

Don't you realize the 25th is very special and calls for something a lot better than a silver toaster?

Give her a new vacuum cleaner, with all the attachments, before you leave.

I would'nt think many trucks can afford to do any deadheading, especially nowdays, but I guess you could check, maybe get the tracks included along with a load coming your way. If you come yourself this time of year, just plan to hit it between snowstorms which isn't hard to do. Id. and Wy. have a real dandy coming in today, 6"-8" snow and more in the higher elevations but it could be in the 80's again by the end of the week.
