I remember when he used to spend summers at his folk's summer home in an area that used to be on my weekly Sunday paper route.

In '69 I remember being at a Rock show at an old Inn in that Town (Sunapee, NH) and seeing him there.

From that point on, he became quite a "fixture" in the music industry.

well speaking of Stevens burning at around the same time, a friend of his, Steven Adler was burning himself out performing Illusion with Guns&Roses,
burnt out heavily

yep, but that doesn't seem to have slowed him down at all,

speaking of burnouts, in the past handful of months i've read biographies of jerryGarcia, ericClapton, Slash, PhilLesh (also of the GratefulDead), and Lennon. I don't know why I went on such a nostalgic reading binge.
But ... that autobiography of Slash' (mentioning Adler continually throughout), is a wild read, wild and horrifying and energetic.

Well look at steven adler Now.He is on that VH1 show sober house.It is the halfway house celebs live at after Drug treatment.The first week there he was Busted smoking Heroin in the bathroom.
