Yes, I would pretty much say that this country has spoken and they have said that we are tired of the direction this country has been going. 
Like I said before, Bush had an opportunity that few Presidents have ever had right after 9-11 and he blew it...............big time.

The country votes not for Obama and not against McCain they voted against Bush.
Using your numbers Obama got 65,340,000 in 2008 OK
Bush got about 62,100,000 in 2004 OK
WOW so we now have a mandate!
