F450 tires

With the popularity of the F450, is DT planning to offer and service this size tire (225/70-r19.5)?

We don't stock anything but we can special order a few tires in for you if you are interested. Give us a ring and we can point you to your options. I would send you a link but I noticed today that you can't search for options to this size through our site. I have notified our web department and they will look into changing this. Thank you for your question.

Cool

Tires were a little low today so I took the F450 in for the free tire check. Fronts require 85 psi (based on pillar sticker). Was told that Discount tire had a company policy that they would not inflate beyond 80 psi. So does this mean if I should buy tires from you they would not be able to inflate them? Seemed odd because the other Discount Tire store in town aired up the trailer tires to over 100.

I apologize for the miscommunication. We now have a guideline that we are not to work on 19.5" assemblies. There is not a psi limit once the beads of a tire are seated. The only limit we have is to seat the beads and that is a max of 80psi. But again, we will not service 19.5" assemblies.

Cool

So dont buy the tires from you because you dont service them? You've really confused me here, I understand that you do not service 19.5 tires, so why would you offer to sell them and have them added to web site? Youve convinced me that after 30 years of using Discount tire ended for all my vehicles

Discount Tire has two branches. Discount Tire Direct (mail order and internet division) and Discount Tire/ America's Tire Store. (not to be confused with Discount Tire Centers. We have no affiliation with Discount Tire Centers)

Our stores do not sell or service 19.5" tires and wheels any longer. If you need air in an already mounted and balanced 19.5 our stores will most likely fill you up.

Discount Tire Direct, (mail order and internet division) designed to service areas where we do not have stores, does still sell some 19.5" product. We can send this product to your door. We will guarantee the lowest delivered price and you can choose where you would like to take it for installation. We realize this may not be the most convenient way to do it but at this point this is the best we can do for 19.5 product.

If you would like, please PM us your name, phone number and Zip code, we will be happy to have a store manager in your area call you. They would be happy to explain what they can and can't do better and can help locate a local service center for your 19.5's.

We appreciate your business and value you as a customer. We would love earn your continued support. We apologize for the inconvenience is may cause you. Our stores will continue to do the very best they can for you on your other vehicle needs.
