F650 Headlight Question

I was wondering if anyone had problems with their headlights on their F650? I am driving one at work and even with the high beams on they appear dim. They are so dim that no one ever flashes me for the high beams. I was thinking ground, but wouldn't even know where to begin to look on this truck.

It is a great truck, 2004 model, just has a few quirks we have been trying to work out.

Re: F650 Headlight Question

Anyone that has this problem, JC Whitney sells a halogen conversion that works like a charm. Was a direct plug and play installation.

Re: F650 Headlight Question

Its because the headlights that come from Ford suck. They are the exact same ones used on the 78'-86' Bronco and F series. I replaced some for my boss' F650 with HID full replacement headlights.

www.brightheadlights-HID.com

They are the XP6054. $995.00 Pricey but man do they make a difference. Install is a snap to. Just remove the old light, find a 12v power and a ground, screw the brains down to something, and mount the headlights in the existing brackets. It all took about an hour.
