Re: F800 HP rating?
what birken is speaking of, is known as the cpl plate. this plate holds all the info about that particular engine. ever go to a cummins shop, this is the first info they will ask for. 96 year engines started at 160hp and went to 230hp. 160/175 were most common in buses and f600's, 190/210 was common in f700/800 apps'. and the higher hp 230, i have only seen one in all my years around these units. when the isb [24v] came in the picture,210/230hp became common. hp and trq rateings are as follows. 160hp/400trq, 175hp/420trq, 190hp/475trq, 210hp/485trq a higher trq 210hp is also avaiable, at 520 lbs. finally the 230hp/605 trq. also if you go to a ford dealer and ask about 5.9 cummins parts, dont be suprised if they carry the ford fd-1060 label.
