How do u remove the shifter?

Hey, I got a C6500 with the CAT 3126 and Eaton 6 speed. I was just wondering if anyone knows how the shifter disconnects from the transmission.

What are you doing that you need to remove it ? Most common way is to pull the floor boot off in the cab.Looking down on top of the trans you will see the bottom of the shift tower that bolts on to the top plate.Remove the four bolts on the base of the shift tower and lift it strait off and up though the floor.

be sure to cover the hole while you have the shifter out of the trans.
