Best shock for a 90% non towing F250 Harley Davidson

I have a 2005 Harley Davidson F250. I use it to tow my 12k boat on the weekend but travel about 2000 untowing miles per month in it also. Is the rancho or the bilstein going to be the best replacement shock for me? I am looking to improve the ride as much as possible. Also which steering stabilizer would you recommend? Does the harley require a different shock than a regular F250? I have searched through the forums and havent founod a answer that makes me comfortable enough to hit the checkout button.

The Harley edition is just cosmetics, not drivetrain, so you can order shocks based on the year and model.

I have Bilstein shocks and just put on their steering stabilizer. They're good stuff. JMO. It's hard to compare ride quality, especially when my butt is numb from driving for so long.

Bilstein's here too. I've got the 4600 HD series (Yellow/Blue). The best, IMO.

What's the difference between the 5100 series and the HD? I like the fact tha the 5100's aren't yellow and blue but if the hd is a better ride then I will go tha route.

After talking to 2-3 different technical people at Bilstein I was assured that the 5100's will offer a little softer ride for someone that doesnt tow much. (Plus they arent yellow and blue). I ordered the 5100's with the steering stabilizer.

Ditto on the 5100's going to put them on my new truck soon, had them on my past vehicles and loved them and I also don't like the yellow blue combo

So what's your verdict? The 5100's provide a softer ride?
