Goodyear MT/R's with Kevlar...

I am a little leery about running a mud tire on my tow rig. But I just ordered these so it's too late to worry I guess. I got some E rated 285/75R18's coming in. Anyone take a look at these or have any opinions/experiences with the new tire??? If not I will post a quick review when they get put on!

I use to run mud tires and loved them ... but over time I got tired of the howl ... I really didn't spend enough time in terrain that justified that kinda tread. They look great, but overall I now prefer a good all terrain tire. But, I'm alway curious to hear about a mudder that performs well ( wear and sound ) on the highway! Can't wait to read your feedback

I like the way these tires look and am interested to see how they perform on the road.

I have used MT/Rs on two different vehicles.
1. Jeep Rubicon 245/75-16 good tire ran true with no problems only 5k miles. 33/12.50-15 on same Jeep they off-roaded great but hard to ballance on bent up steel wheels. BIG gashes out of tires and they held air great.

2.Yukon XL 2500 245/75-16 (take offs from jeep) No problems towing on or off road. I have a 25 foot race trailer that has been towed down many sandy washes behind the Yukon with no problems.

The MT/R is a great tire in my opinion.

Well.....after reading up some more on the MT/R's and seeing them in person I decided it wasn't the tire for me. The truck see's 0 amounts of mud so it didn't make sense to deal with the howl and short tread life just for the look. So I put some Toyo AT's on there in the same size and was done with it....sorry fellas I got nothing to report on the goodyears! Thanks for the input though....!
