Got new race trailer, ditch the lift?

i have a 99 f250 on 37's and 6.5 inch lift. i always hated the way it drove and loaded up with bikes water tank etc. we recently bought a pretty large toy hauler weighs around 11,000 lbs. I was thinkin about ditching the lift and 37 mickey thompsons and goin back to normal. We do travel alot in this truck, and as it looks cool, it sucks!! Motocross racing is pretty much life and this truck isnt helping lol, sucks at braking(without trailer) makes noises, hard to turn, no spare tires etc. lol its alot, but would the best thing to do be ditch the lift and go back to normal?

Big 37's and a 6in lift are all looks with a lot of minuses. You will love the way your truck drives with the stock setup. For serious off roading there are better vehicles than a big Diesel Truck that is really tippy and long. Some of those vehicle are in your toy box.

Off road tires wear out wayyy too fast. You will love having tire last over 50k miles.

I personally never had a 6in lift on one of my trucks but the Mud Terrain BFG's 35in on my 3500 Ram lasted about 28,000 miles before trowing a tread out in Vegas at 65mph.

yeha im scared of a blowout, and having just the stock spare, that would suck, so i think im going to do this and get some nicer rims wih nice smooth E rated tires. plus fuel economy that sets me back alot

I think in your case, it would be easiest to ditch the lift if you're towing your trailer consistently every weekend. But I do know people who tow with moderately lifted trucks on 37/38s with no problems. To me, it sounds like you have other problems when you mention it's "hard to turn" and "makes noises" that would have to be addressed even if you did take off the lift. I use to have a '99 on 44" boggers and I will admit it was a bit hard turning it in tight spaces when barely rolling, but my current truck on 37s isn't any harder to turn force wise than a stock truck, although I do have a little wider turning radius. Same goes for braking. My '99 on 44s stopped just fine and it was my daily driver, although it did eat through pads and rotors way quicker. A little more info on your problems with steering and braking would be helpful; ie. the last time you did a full brake job and the last time the front end was gone over and also how many miles are on your truck.
