SPeed rating
I am in the market for a 255/85/16 for my excurision. I really want a 33" tire without going to 285's due to the fuel mileage. How important is speed rating. I frequently travel on the free way at 80-85. I am looking for an all terrain. The only ones I can find that I REALLY like are the Cooper Discoverer S/T. Cooper Tires. Don't Give Up A Thing. Ultra-High Performance, Passenger, Light Truck, SUV, Motorsport, Motorcycle and Commercial Tires They are rated N up to 87 mph. They are kind of a cross between a Mud terrain and an AT tire. Should I have any issues with that? I have found some less aggressive Maxxis that are Q rated up to 99 mph. MA-761 Bravo Series
There are others out there in this size but they are mostly Mud Terrrain and I mostly do highway in So Cal with lots of winter ski trips. So any info on your opinoins of the speed rating would be great.
