Trailer tires under rated?

I am getting ready to put new tires on my X and realized that I haven't looked at my trailer tires since I bought the thing used three years ago. Okay, not entirely true as I check inflation and wear every trip but, I know they should be replaced on age.

My trailer is rated at 7450# max. I probably load it right to the max or even slightly over. (Note to self: weigh this thing when we get ready for our next trip.) Since it is dual axle [3500#?], that means 1862.5# per wheel. I understand the rule of thumb is to over rate load by 20%. That would mean that each wheel should be rated for 2235#.

Looking at the tires on the TT, they are ST205/75R15 Load Range C 6P.R., Max Load 1820#@50psig cold. Are my tires under rated or am I missing something? I have been pulling this trailer all over the Western US.

I guess that I should factor in tongue weight but that still seems like the tires are under rated using the 20% safety factor.

I've tried to pay attention to the tires on my camper/trailer and I did notice cupping on the tread. But that was due to insufficient springs on my truck. It was sagging in the back which put too much weight on the front axle of the trailer and not enough on the 2nd axle on the trailer.

What I have understood is that other than watching the normal things ( inflation and the dry rot and tread wear) that you have to protect them from UV rays during storage.

I just had to replace mine not too long ago and found these tips helpful.

I haven't been too concerned with the weight of the camper. But I'm just packing a camper. I don't know if you have a camper or a trailer that you are hauling heavy equipment that is going to be a concern.
