im trying to find any reviews or anyting about trailmaster suspension and i dont want to call the company cus i know all they are going to tell me is o yeah we have the best suspension around. so i want the straight truth before i drop a bunch of money on a new lift. so if anybody has any opinion on trailmaster please let me know!
I have a trailmaster lift on my Titan. (I know, I know) Here's some of my thoughts maybe they will help you with your decision. I should first say this information is based on my personal experience and I don't have experience with any other lifts for comparison.
My review:
I have had it on for about 9 months and I haven't had any issues. I worked with a buddy on installing it and we were able to bolt it up in 1 day. (his tools and knowhow, I hadn't installed a lift kit before but he used to do it professionally so we were confident that we could do it.) If you haven't installed a lift kit before I would recommend taking it to a pro. It involved some metal cutting and drilling and some knowhow as the instructions are a little vague in some steps if you don't have prior experience with lift kits.
Durability. For my truck it's beefy. I don't know if they use the same material thickness for all of their kits but its not sissy by any means. I was impressed with how stout and reinforced everything was from the bolts and nuts to the cross bracing and end links, everything was well built. All steel parts were powder coated for protection.
Stance: I have their 6" lift. I think it sits a little lower than other 6" kits for the titan but I don't know if this is the case for all of their kits. It could be from not upgrading my front shocks with the install. I don't have experience with any of their other kits. I will also add that I really like the front stance. This kit helped push my front wheels out a little extra giving the truck a great front appearance.
Comfort: I did notice a ride difference which should be expected, however, the difference that I noticed was due to the wheel and tire upgrade that I did at the same time. After my alignment the truck tracks true and rides very stable. I haven't had a chance to tow with the kit on just yet but I have loaded the bed up with dirt a few times.
All and all I am very happy with the kit but again, I don't have any experience with other lift kits to compare.
When I was looking for a lift kit I did the same exercise that I suggest people to do when they are shopping for tires. There are a lot of different kits out there that are better suited to do certain things. Focus on how you use your truck and what you want it to be able to do then find a kit that will help you achieve that.
I never hurts to call a few lift kit manufactures. Tell them what you are looking for and ask them for a lift kit recommendation. They may point out subtle differences that will help you make a good decision.
Hey thanks I am just looking for what ever anybody has to say about their stuff I have experience with suspension and what not I'm just so ramd at work I don't have time to build my own susp or piece one together so I'm just looking for a kit that's not going to die on me I have a procomp 4in on it now and its a pile of sh*t no doubt and I'm having nothing but problems with it and the company doesn't want to fix their products so screw them but from what you were saying it sounds like the trailmaster company really builds their products right thanks for lettin me know
Not for SD's with leaf springs unless you like it stiff...its cheap though.

yeah i dont care to much about a stiff ride really all im lookin for is the quality or durability of the trail master kits. i would get dr but i dont have the couple grand its going to cost me. the reason i dont like what i have is not because of the stiff ride its because in the first month all the shock blew two months later the drivers side front leaf saged 2in and i had to custom fab up crap so the damn componets the lift came with would work. so in a nut shell im looking for somehting that comes with front and rear springs that isnt too expensive. i also fully understand that a cheeper kit isnt going to have the quality of the more high end kits but its what im lookiing for
How high you looking at..may not cost as much as you think to have a good ride quality..if your looking at just 4" get 4.5" hangers and stock V codes, rear use a block and stock springs or Icon 5" rear springs.
