wheels - offset / backspeace ?

time for new tires. and figured id like to go to a wider wheel like a 9 or 10. the whole off set thing is confusing to me. backspace is another question. can someone explain this to me so i get the correct wheels. i currantly run 325/60/20s on a stock 06 250. tires look a little big for the truck so im either going to do a icon leveling kit or a 4.5 lift. have not made up my mind on wheel diameter as of yet. 17 -18 -20. i know the tire diameter will be 35's. realy like 37 but regearing is expensive, and the truck is pushing it now with 35's. any insite or recommendation would be a big help- also pics of similar set ups. thanx in advance. also whats the offset and back space of a stock 20?

Offset is where the backside of the mounting pad is located on the wheel from center.

For Example:

If you have a -12mm offset on a 9" wide wheel, the mounting pad would be 12mm towards the back of the wheel from the center. If you have a +12mm offset on a 9" wide wheel, the mounting pad will be 12mm forward from center. Back spacing is the measurement from the back of the mounting pad to the back side of the wheel.
