100 extra horse power, 220 extra foot pounds of torque! Adjustable on the fly, plug and play system (no sensors to install) and it's available in a knob controlled form (no PDA needed) or can be used WITH a PDA for a complete display system!!
Up to level 5 can be used for light to moderate towing. Level 6 is a sport tune only. The PDA will display six gauges at a time in the system monitor, including EGT and boost, system status, the current power level, and two user-selectable gauges (RPM, MPH, throttle position, barometric pressure, intake air temp, engine temp, trans temp, torque converter status, gear, trans slip as wel as 15 other parameters).

Call me crazy, but who want to purchase a PDA thats really outdated? No one even uses PDA's anymore. Its all in our cell phones now. And we are for sure not going to tie our cell phone up with monitoring our truck's. As advanced as Banks claims to be they need to develop there own platform and hardware to display it on. What there asking money wise just for a display module is ridiculous not to mention its outdated. Everyone else with the exception of spartan are very reasonably priced. But even spartan gives you dashdaq which is designed specifically for that. SCT and EDGE are the Best bang for the Buck and there form is extremly condusive to the truck interior. Spartan also has form but they are pretty pricey, Then here come BANKS thats supposed to be the best and there still leaching off a old palm pilot heck I am not sure you can even buy those anymore???? Just my 2 cents

We already are. It's going to be called the Banks V.U.I. and will be available in the next month or two. to What there asking money wise just for a display module is ridiculous not to mention its outdated. We're offering the pda system for those who have a system from an older truck. This allows them to continue using thier PDA without having to buy something new. Everyone else with the exception of spartan are very reasonably priced. Our system is priced in the same range and has the added saftey features wheather or not the PDA is used.If you want the least expensive system order just the know controled version. But even spartan gives you dashdaq which is designed specifically for that. The Banks V.U.I. will have two options (budget or high end) with better resolution, a much less expensive GPS system and will be 100% bluetooth with no wires. SCT and EDGE are the Best bang for the Buck (both of which produce large increases soot production killing the DPF much faster then stock) and there form is extremly condusive to the truck interior. For thos wanting the PDA system we still have plenty of those in stock. The Six Gun is far superior to any other DPF compatible tuning system out there. It's pending full smog approval, has the lowest soot production of any other tuning system on the market and can be upgraded later with the Banks Speed brake system, and adds a solid (and usable) 100hp extra and 220lb-ft all without shortening the life of the DPF on the truck.

The one claim to fame is the Soot supposedly created by the Other Programers Banks doesn't do. Maybe so only time will tell. If so there are gonna be alot of dead DPF's pretty soon. There are a ton of people running Spartan, SCT, and EDGE.
As fars as Your new hardware, I would have made it back compatibale to the other systems instead of relying on another platform. Especially one that really outdated (PalmPilot). I (and probably everyone else) would love to see some pics. I personally have always thought BANKS was on the leading edge of diesel technology, but was really blown away by the fact yall still used a PalmPilot. It still baffles me!!!!!! Anyways give us the nitty gritty on it. Pics, Price, you name it.
Oh while we are on the subject I am sure everyone is die'n to know this. I have seen and read rumors that The "BANKs Programer specifically the 6Gun" will be an accepted programmer by "FORD" and not VOID WARRANTY. Do you have any knowledge or insight on this subject?
PS dont take anything I say as a putdown. It is nothing more than opinion. Mostly mine and everyone knows what thats worth.
If you want to have happy customers in California, make sure you follow through with CARB EO approval. CARB EO approval is a STRONG selling point because emissions testing is coming up for us heavy duty truck owners; make it a part of your ad campaign (especially in California).
There is another thread in the Aftermarket section about the Six Gun. It says the rumors about being " accepted by Ford" are not true. From what I have seen Ford does not accept any aftermarket products.
I am undecided about which programmer to go with. I like what I see with the the Spartan and SCT, but I live in CA and need the emissions approval. Banks are the only products that have any approval so far, and they are attempting to have the new Six Gun approved.
I am very frustrated with waiting for the actual release of the new Six Gun. They are supposedly released for sale, but "Banks Dealers" don't have any and anybody I know that has called to order them have not received them. I have also not seen any posts about any customers that have one. For a product that was released for general sale on 3-2-09 I can not believe we have not seen any feedback.
I wish Banks Power could be honest with there customers! I you have them and are really selling them, great, but if you only have a few or are not really selling them don't say anything at all.
Honesty is the best policy for me.
Please "Banks Power", for a company that claims to not blow smoke, don't blow smoke up our #@$#@.

Way ahead of you there. Our guidlines for the intake and tuning systems for this application have always been to pass the CA smog check program. The CARB has already identified several tuning systems that would fail (they had a meeting a few weeks ago for the smog techs) in their current form.

I'm not really sure. Let me go try one later today and I'll get back to you
Just tried it out. No luck. The six gun is trying to perform the same scanning procedures the dash daq is and it's causing the dash daq to not function. If there's enough guys out there with these on their trucks (by themselvs) we may do sometheing to allow it to opperate.
I was actually looking at the DashDaq and had considered buying it. I would appreciate Banks looking at it and seeing what they could do just so we have alternatives.
