The only dif between yours and mine is I have the second row bench and the TV package. Mine was 42,400 + TTT. I am sure we all are getting ripped. the question is: how much?
Go to edmunds.com and price it out.

I change oil every 5k (Rotella Syn. 5W-40), fuel filters every 10k (Ford Filters Only), air filter every 30K (Ford Filter Only), Changed trans. oil/filter & diffs. oils at 50K. Mostly highway miles & some around town.
From 5/23/09 - 6/19/09 At 62K miles & 9 months out of warranty, I spent $8K b/c of & getting this X fixed; 3 Ford Dealers in 3 dif. states replaced: EGR Valve, Cleaned Turbo Pipes, IAT,Map Sensor, ICP, VGT, (Cleaned Turbo -Compression ring still sticking), Replaced Turbo. On 6/19/09 I bought Ford Ext. War. 4yrs./48k.
Mine sticked for $49k, and I paid about $40k. I traded in a Tundra with most options, 70k miles, and 4 accidents. That combined with $26k did the deal. They didn't ask about the accidents, and I didn't tell.
Anyway regarding price, try carsdirect.com
I configured one like you asked for and it came out to $44.3k not including the FDAS assessment. You might want to fool around with urban/suburban zip codes though, it makes a difference.
Thanks guys for the replies. I've been out to Edmunds, KBB and CarsDirect.
Just trying to check on some "real world pricing" from those who have previously purchased this model.
I'm in the Austin, Texas area so these types of large SUV's tend to be very popular.
With regard to pricing , I know we are all getting ripped off. I can remember my dad buying a new fully loaded 3/4 ton suburban with the 454 motor in 1977. It took him a long while to finally make the decision to pay the 8900.00 cash the dealer was asking for. At that time he thought that was an outragious amount of money to pay for a new truck.
What is in these new trucks that makes it worth 50K? IMHO It certainly is not in the electronics.
Regards;
David

If you are going to do further business with this dealership (repairs, warrentee work), my advice would be to pay dealer invoice (then take the rebates and incentives). If you are not, work a deal into their holdback. All they are doing for you is ordering it directly from your specs and it won't be sitting on their lot costing them money.
My new 03 Lmtd has every option except the 2nd row buckets, thank goodness. Actually, I wouldn't have taken one that way. Anyway, sticker was a bit over $52k. I got it for $40k after the supplier discount, rebates, haggle, etc. Felt like that was a good deal but it's an 03. I wouldn't expect that good of deal on an 04 until this time next year.
Last month in while in Denver, I saw an ad for an 03 Eddie Bauer Excursion 4x4 6.0 PSD for around $36,000.00. They must've been desperate to get rid of it.

Just wondered why you would not want the 2nd row captains chairs.
We have two small children age 5 and 19 months. We made the mistake of getting the bench seat in our 96 Dodge Grand Caravan and swore we would never do that again. The kids tend to bicker when sitting that close together.
For the Excursion we thought the captains chairs would be better than separating the two kids in different rows.
Are there any other pros or cons to the 2nd row bench versus the captains chairs other than losing one additional passenger seat?
All opinions appreciated....
David

Well this particular deal for a 2004 Excursion 4x4 Eddie Bauer is $500 under invoice. I'm being told that this price is better than X-plan.
Would you all agree?
Invoice price is $45,818.52
Less $1500 Incentive
Less Dealer $500 discount
Total price of $43,818 + TTL
The only other discounts I am aware of would be AQHA or the dealer holdback.
I went a little crazy with this order. I think the only option I didn't get was the DVD entertainment system.
It's a little pricey and I can install a nicer aftermarket system that includes both a combination DVD player and VHS VCR.
Thanks for any info.
David
