2007 Burb - no d-max option

Looks like the X will be with me for at least 10 more years.

I saw an ad for the new burb on the olympics and had to go look because of the rumours of a d-max being in it. Couldn't find one listed anywhere, not even in the 3/4 ton model. I guess the X is the only game in town!

Have a good one,
Dave

Re: 2007 Burb - no d-max option

Take good care of your X and you should never need a new one, it just gets better over time. I try and change something every year, lift, tires, rims, cab lights, all stuff done over time, there is always something to add. I plan on this for 10 years at least. At that time there will be nothing even close to the X available, even a full size PU will be weaker, they will have to to meet mileage requirements.

Re: 2007 Burb - no d-max option

You want a Duramax Suburban here you go. It is gonna cost you dearly. The black 2005 was on Ebay and went to $62,100 with 17 bids and did not meet reserve. I used to be on another GM diesel site and remember guys saying that if GM would build it they would pay no matter what the $. I wish I had started doing these installs and not missed the $ boat.

Me, I am happy with my Ex.

Re: 2007 Burb - no d-max option

Guys that say they would pay anything if such and such was available usually have a pretty low limit of what "anything" means.
I bet that GM has already lifted the body above frame and fitted a few Dmaxes into new 'burb frames and then figured out the springing and then took it to the test track and tried the evasive maneuvering tests and found some surprises and then stepped back and looked at that frame hanging WAY down below the nice looking body and then said "Nah!"

Re: 2007 Burb - no d-max option

It supposed to be an option in 08 or 09 but not until then... There needs to be a frame change and right now, there is just not enough incentive. In 08, the federal diesel tax breaks will start to kick in and then I bet you will see a lot of diesels hit the market. Including a whole boatload from Toyota.

Re: 2007 Burb - no d-max option

The 2007 3/4 ton Suburban only comes with the 6.0 and 4-speed AT. The 2007 1/2 ton GMC Yukon XL Denali has a more powerfull 6.2 engine with displacement on demand and a 6-speed AT.
