I put the proper-year ones on my 2000 X back when I had it too.
The answer to your question is probably the same reason Ford is killing the X without ever advertising what a unique (and yes, earth-friendly!) vehicle the diesel X is. The engineers created it, but the suits and the marketing people don't understand it.

I also put a pair on the first week I had mine. With the vast number of PSD's here in the Houston area, I get a LOT of looks, especially from the X drivers (of course the CRL's get them looking, too).

I couldn't pull up the pics.
Does anybody have pics to show exactly where they placed them. Are they self-adhesive or do you need to buy adhesive for the project?

Check the 2000 X and the 2003 pickup in my sig - you can see where the door badges are in each case.
When I bought the older Powerstroke badges for the X, they came with adhesive foam on the back. Just peel-n-stick. I assume the new ones are the same way.

Sorry about the picture not opening. I set it up and tested it with my computer and it was logging me in with cookies I guess.
Try this: 2004 X Album with PSD Badge and more!
The nameplates have a very thin foam adhesive back on them. All you do is peel off the blue plastic and be sure it is where you want it when you press it down. I did it on my 2000 X as well. Same process as before.

Re: 6.0L PSD door badge for Excursion (Pic and Part # inside)
Just wondered if anyone has found a better source for these Powerstroke diesel nameplates than the local Ford dealer. I continue to watch Ebay but the last ones sold went for over 40 dollars.
I also checked with fordpartscheap.com and they don't seem to list the part number for either the F-250 or F-350.
