Add a leaf or airbags

I am installing a Tuff Country 2.5" lift on the front of the x (the superduty kit) but have nothing for the rear yet. I would like to get the rear level with the front, plus add some load handling ability since I will be towing a travel trailer with around 1000lb of tongue weight (and yes it will have a weight distribution set-up). From what I have read, an add a leaf will give it a bit of lift on the rear, but I have not seen much on what in the way of empty lift you get with airbags. I am only looking to raise the rear around 1 1/2" Can I do this with airbags and not make it ride like a lumber wagon when empty? Or should I go with an add a leaf. Since I am looking for more rear carrying capacity, I do not want to go with 4" blocks.
