Addco sway bar....finally!

Finally got the long awaited rear sway bar from Addco and installed it last night.
25 minutes start to finish.
Part number is 2161.
Only glitch in the install is a parking brake guide & bracket on the passenger side frame rail.Had to remove the factory guide bracket
along with the stock bolt in order to mount the Addco upper link bracket.Re-attached the guide with the new mounting bolt for the link bracket.Other than that it was a piece of cake.No muss no fuss.
I'll post pics if it ever stops raining.

Re: Addco sway bar....finally!

Did you have to remove rear shocks?

Is this plated or painted?

I have been unable to find the Excursion 4x4 in the application charts on Addco's web site.

Re: Addco sway bar....finally!

It has a hardened finish.Almost gold tone as does all the hardware. Will take pics tomorrow and post them.
I didn't remove the shocks.Placed a floor jack under the shock hoops so the shocks woudln't move them when I removed the nuts.
You won't find it on the application charts....yet.
When I ordered it there was some confusion on Addcos part as to whether it was in production or not.I ordered it thru NAPA. You have to tell them to order it thru the "Balcamp Program".Part #is 2161.
After waiting 5 weeks for it I called Addco and spoke to Poncho. He told me they hadn't started the production run yet,but could send me one of the prototypes they gave the final approval for.
I didn't check it with a caliper,but it looks to be 1 1/4"
