Alarms

I got a quote this week for a Code-Alarm for my Ex.

This was their top of the line with:
remote-start
windows up and down
rear defrost
engine shut down timer (can be used like a turbo life saver)
in addition to regular features like shock sensor, and door lock activation.

The price they quoted me was $1,450

That seemed a little high.

What brand are you using? Cost? Happy with it?

I would have asked this in the upgrades and aftermarket forum but we have to hassle with the PATS system on our Excursions.

Re: Alarms

I have a code alarm system without the remote start. Also have a ttm.I exit the truck with it running and the keys in my hand. I lock it witht the key pad on the door. By the time I get 50-60 ft I can hear the truck shut off and I key the alarm to set it.If I don't hear the truck shut down by the time I get to whereever I'm going I just let it be locked without the alarm. Not supposed to be able to start it without the key.My install cost about $400.
