Another '04 Black X Limited hits the street - Diesel Forum

It arrived at the dealer sometime between dark last night and 5:00 this morning. [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif[/img]

Ordered on October 15, 2003, arrived at the dealer on November 15, 2003. Pretty quick delivery I'd say. [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif[/img]

Now I really need to sell the one in the signature, if I trade, we're all gonna lose. [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/sick.gif[/img]

I just hit 700 miles since last Saturday... Actually drove 1.5hrs to Sacramento to personaly deliver the Check to the dealer(needed the miles anyway!!)
Can't wait for FULL accelerator!!!!!!

Hey, did you get the DVD?? The dealer didn't have the headphones and remote and told me they ship 2weeks after they get the vehicles.
They also said that they can't give me a set from another X being that they are "encoded" in some way. Just curious....

This is our second solid black X, bought the first one in July of 01, when No Boundaries was introduced. Traded a '99 Expedition (black of course) for it, and decided immediately we'd probably never have anything else. Thats why we ordered this '04, when the announcement was made they were going to stop building them, we wanted to at least get a few more years out of one. Now if they truly go to '06, we'll probably have another one then. [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]

The new one looks exactly like the '01, except for the wheels.

We didn't order the DVD player, there's only two of us and we didn't see the need. Sorry I can't help you with that one.

Drove the new one a few miles yesterday morning, other than sound, don't notice a great deal of difference, but, it does only have 2.4 miles on it. I'm sure it'll loosen up. [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smokin.gif[/img]

Certainly the first part is BS. They are shipped seperately, but not 2-weeks! Mine were there waiting for the truck. In fact, I got a second set within a week. I think someone at your dealership screwed up.

I also think the second part is BS. One quick way to check is to grab a set from another vehicle and see if they work.

Went down to the dealer tonite and finished the deal. Too bad no one was interested in the '01, sure hated to trade it, 'cause I could have made someone a heck of a deal, but think I came out alright. Got the '04 for a couple hundred under invoice and got $2000 in rebates ($1500 Ford and $500 AQHA).

Waiting 'til tomorrow to get final decision on FMCC finance rate, will be no more than 4.9% for 60 mos. Don't think that is too bad, but going to try for a little less. [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img]

Got some good news from Progressive on the insurance. Rate is actually going to be a little lower on the '04 than it was on the '01. [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shrug.gif[/img] [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]

Now we need to plan a road trip!!

Called for rates today (picking up X tomorrow), the 04 X will be $50 a year more than my 95 Towncar. Go figure.

Absolutely....
Just got back into town today and we went to grab a bite to eat and we saw TWO other Black Ex's here in little bitty ole' Mansfield, Tx...

Now in the DFW metro area I see many more !
