Any deals on ESP or MaintenanceCare products?

My new '05 just arrived and I want to purchase the Ford extended warranty and the maintenance care package. There used to be a dealer connection here that sold them a little over cost. Anyone have any ideas? I remember something about a "Cochise" or Sunrise Ford???

Also, even though I am buying it back of invoice, I no longer qualify for the D Plan pricing. There was an organization here that if you were a member you qualified for the X Plan pricing. Are they still around? I wanted to see if it was worth going for the X Plan versus my price.

Any help would be appreciated!

Re: Any deals on ESP or MaintenanceCare products?

I got mine from Sunrise in Calif. In Florida the same ESP, 6 yr 75,000 mi. can be almost $1700 more expensive. In FL warranties fall under the Insurance Commisioners office and can't be discounted.

good luck,

scott

Re: Any deals on ESP or MaintenanceCare products?

Thanks, Scott.

I found Sunrise's site. I'll call them tomorrow for a quote.

I got hooked up with the X plan price, so now I just need to get the warranty and maintenance packages near cost and I'll be set...

I'll put the '01 up for sale after the holiday w/e.

Re: Any deals on ESP or MaintenanceCare products?

I did a google search and found plenty of dealers selling ESP's over the net at a hundred over cost. I printed out a few and took them with me when I did the paperwork for my new one.

The finance guy wasn't happy when I pulled out the printouts to compare his "pre-negotiated, preferred customer ESP pricing" to what I had found. He was quoting me $900 over cost for the warranty and $750 over for the maintenance package. I got both for $100 over.

Now I can get my hammer and chisel out and start installing stuff...
