Any one else waiting a long time..........

I have had my 05'Ex on order now for over 2 months. It hasn't got a build date yet. I saw the post regarding the deisel engine restriction, but I was curious if any one else is waiting?

Re: Any one else waiting a long time..........

My Eddie Bauer 6.0 was ordered about 6-7 weeks ago and is due to be delivered momentarily (as in rail car number, delivery date). I am hoping that it has the 05 engine. I have noticed that the "hold" was until November 1, so perhaps it means before they start delivery. If it means that they are not going to start putting 05 engines into X's until AFTER November 1, these trucks will not be delivered until January. I will let you all know what I find under the hood.

I would think that there is clearly something wrong if you have not even a VIN # yet after 2 months. This is not normal.

Re: Any one else waiting a long time..........

I should be picking my 05 up in a few days...took about 6 weeks. I'm new to this site. What's new about the 05 engine version? Also, how can I tell if it's an 05 vs. 04?

Thanks!

Re: Any one else waiting a long time..........

On the top of the valve cover on the passenger side there will be a sticker either red or blue. It will say either 2004 or 2005 family of engines. Let me know what you get.
