I just finished the install of ART rotors all around on the Excursion. What a difference! No more vibration!!! I wanted to let everyone know about there service. I dealt with Pad. He was very friendly on the phone, and very exact. Everything I asked for he repeated a couple times to confirm it was right. I gave him a tight time frame and he came through. I recieved the rotors, but one of the front rotors was missing. UPS lost it!!!! I called Pad right away. He took care of me and sent me another rotor at no cost. He sent it 3 day air because I needed it for a trip. He ate the shipping charges too. He provided tracking numbers everytime. Great place to do buisnes with! And the rotors are BEAUTIFUL!!! They can be a little hard to get a hold of on the phone. But whenever I left a message, it was returned within 30 minutes. I am also going to post this is fordtrucks.com so other people can read about there service. Thanks Pad!!!

I have his rotors and pads they are a great and solved my vibration(wobble). Just a word of caution. When you get new tires or have them balanced or rotated. Re torque the lug nuts your self if some one else does it they will screw it up and your vibration will come back.

I'm just about to replace my front rotors with the $59/pair eBay ones--couldn'd afford fancy ART's or Frozen Rotors. I'll post how they are. Any tips on front rotor job? How to lube caliper? Torque method? Should I bleed or flush the system?

Yes, please post! I'm getting some pretty major front end shake when braking...I know those rotors are warped. From what I understand, turning will only help for a little while, because the alloy used doesn't withstand heat very well?
Since you got yours from ebay, can you PM me a link? I'd like to take a look at what you bought. $59 sounds like a great (ok, better than great!) price if it fixes the problem and it stays fixed.
is the link. eBay username is erotorshop. They were easy to put on and work like stock. I did the fronts only & no pad change and the shimmey is gone. $59 plus $30 shipping plus additional $60 Alaska shipping is still the cheapest deal for me. Shipping was fast. I've put 200 miles on them and so far so good.

Ah ok. I'm thinking since the OEMs warped, if I bought another set, I'd just be setting myself up for the same experience again. I've also heard of other folks getting the ART rotors and never having a problem again. I like to fix stuff once! Anyway, I checked prices, both ART and Frozen Rotors.
The following prices are for Excursion rotors, slotted with new pads:
ART $350
Frozen Rotors $464 (Shipped)
Don't know about the shipping costs with ART, but I think $30 is probably a safe number. Since I tow, I know there's a fair amount of stress being placed on those front rotors. Mine warped after towing in the rain, and have just got worse. Heck, I could put a jug of milk in the front and have a milkshake by the time I got home. I think the slots in the rotors are a real good idea too, especially for my application.
Looks like I gotta save up some more dough.
Make sure that your lug nuts are properly torqued and torqued in a star pattern a little at a time:
50 ft-lbs.
100 ft-lbs.
165 ft-lbs.
The air-wrench monkeys at Quikie-Lubes love to run the lug nuts on in a circular pattern and run them up to 165 (or more) all at once. This stresses the rotor.
