Auto Door Locks

On the Aftermarket board their is a question about AUTO Door Locks when you put "X" in gear or above 5 mph.
I could not find this program in my manul but does anyone have a program for AUTO DOOR LOCKS?
My "X" is a 2001 and I understand that this is standard on 2002 but have not tested a 2002.
Thanks
Ken

Re: Auto Door Locks

Yup, mine has that. I'm not sure, but I think the "welcome" video said that you can turn that feature off if you don't like it.

Regards,
Dave

Re: Auto Door Locks

The 01 X limited came standard with the auto door lock feature. Check the owners manual and it will tell you how to turn it on or off.

Re: Auto Door Locks

I think you mean 02 X. I have a 01 X Limited with all the options except the Rear entertainment system, and I can't for the life of me find that info in the manual.
If it is a feature, and just not in my manual, PLEASE tell me as it would be a nice feature to enable.

Re: Auto Door Locks

I'll check my manual today and get back to you. Mine isn't an 02, it's an 01, and does have the auto door lock feature.

Re: Auto Door Locks

Ooops, my bad. The auto lock/unlock feature is part of the additional security sysem I had added at the dealership when purchased.

Sorry for mis-leading info.

Re: Auto Door Locks

Heh.
Oh well.
While we're on it, what system did you have added to your X? Does it integrate with the system it already comes with?
Looking for one since my X will be sitting at a dock this summer on weekends when we're boating...so would like to make it a bit more 'secure'

Re: Auto Door Locks

Yes, it integrates perfectly with the existing systems!! The brand name is KARR (probably carried by many dealerships). The only problem I ever had was when I took delivery, I finally got around to using the door keypad to enter the truck. Well, as soon as you touch any key, the interior and running board lights come on. This tripped the alarm!! Come to find out the installer had mis wired something and was using the interior lights as a trigger insead of the individual door sensors (lazy installer's way out). Got that fixed and it's great.
