I had DI order this Autometer gauge mount for me along with my new tranny temp and air pressure gauges. Well I went to pick it all up today and I decided to test fit the bezel before I bought it and I'm glad I did! It was a little too wide and the molded corners were totally the wrong shape to fit the Ex dash. I didn't even know the Ex dash was a different shape than the trucks, but they tell me it is. Even if it did fit with some trimming (although I think no amount of trimming would have worked), I don't think the gauges would have fit without hitting the stock instrument panel.
SO...what to do now? I have four gauges. Two already exist in my two pod pillar mount. I can't go overhead because I really don't want to try and run the air lines up there. My brake controller is already under the cubby hole so that spot is out (although I'm considering moving it). Plus I don't like having to look down so far to see a gauge. Anyone have any ideas? Yup, they now make a four pod pillar mount, and I think some of the sponsors carry them.

Thanks thats a great suggestion. But they don't make them in wood grain which is what I have right now (see pic). And I really REALLY like it becuase it matches the other interior accents. I've considered buying a new set that can hold 3 gauges, but then I still have to find a spot for the 4th and then I have an extra set of gauge pod pillars that I may not be able to sell. So I figure I'm better off just trying to find a place to put two gauges.
Thanks for the suggestion but the air gauge is prohibiting that.
I'm starting to think my best option will be to get the 3 gauge pillar mount and just leave the air gauge down under the dash. I don't need to look at it often anyway. Thanks for everyone's suggestions. Doesn't anybody make a single gauge under cubby mount?
There is also a 3 pod under the cubby mount available that many have used
I did a simiilar mount prior to the above being available if you look at pict of my 02 you can see it. I think the one I used was for on top of a Dodge dash.
the one made for this location is better looking.
So who has one to show???

I find it very hard to believe the Excursion dash and insterment area are different from SD's. EXCEPT that the SD's dash was redesigned a few years ago with the new body style, and the excursions was not. I'd double check with the vender that they got you the correct year pod before giving up on that idea.
