Aux Fuel Tank

I know the Excursions come with a nice large fuel tank, but it would be nice to have a little extra for those long trips. Does anyone make an aux. fuel tank for the X.

I'd like to know also......I did see a vegetable oil system that put a flat tank on the floor in the cargo area.......that would NOT be suitable for a diesel tank at all. Looks like there's plenty of room underneath for an extra one.

You might be able to stuff a mid-ship tank from a shortbed pickup under there.

check out DINO FUEL ALTERNATIVE(S) ... theyve got a 30 and 40 gal tank for the excursion... its a little pricey but nice.. the only problem i see is it cuts severely into your towing ability.. if you dont tow its perfect, if you do youd be better off putting a tank on your trailer..

I like the fill location too, but I would knock a hole in that thing the first week. I live out in horse country, the land of rutted roads and rocky ranches. I never unlock my front hubs, if that gives an idea of how much off road time my Ex gets. That tank hangs down too far and in a bad place.

That might be the 40 gallon........the 30 gallon might not hang below the rail

Those Dino tanks look nice, but darned pricey. I may look at a pickup tank.
