The Avanti XUV is Back on!!

Avanti and GM have settled the lawsuit. Only minor changes.

This might be the alternative for us looking to replace our X in a few years. Remember, this is to be built on a SD chassis with the 6.0 and Troqueshift.

Ouch. A little pricey.

Re: The Avanti XUV is Back on!!

jschira,

I really like the H2, but couldn't understand why they didn't put a diesel in it.

The XUV really solves the problem, an H2 like vehicle with a PSD 6.0L.

Who knew a Studebaker could look so good?

My first car was a 1954 Studebaker that looked like this but with a supercharged 289 that was pulled from a 1957 Studebaker Golden Hawk back in 1963.

Did you notice that they will offer a supercharged version of the Ford V-10 with 425+ HP?

Maybe that will make GM come out with an 8.1 option in the H2.

Yes, but THIS Hummer copy has the 6.0 and Torqueshift.

Not even Ford will have that after 2004.

But for that kind of money, I think I'd test drive an F-650 SuperCrewzer first.

Gotta love that 800+ ft.-lbs. Cat engine.

Re: The Avanti XUV is Back on!!

Had an H2...right at 5 months and was in the shop a total of 28 days. Air suspension to transmission slipping, there were tons of problems so I went back to the trusty Ford. As long as Ford running gear is used they should be fine. Just my two cents worth.

the 6.0 is about as bad as having the 7.3 we got now.

my next truck will be a supercrewzer. i wont own another international diesel, they are crap. unless GM offers the duramax in a suburban between now and then. i would consider one of those.

Definitely have to look at the new 'Burb (2007-08???) if the Dmax goes into it.

GM. Are you listening?
