Back from Paint

Say goodbye to the ugly ass Limited gold paint.

Got my truck back today. And I am ecstatic. I am so glad all of that gold crap is gone. I'll put the steps back on Thursday when I am down in Fairfield. I still need to re-acetone the badges and install them. And tomorrow the 5" exhaust is going on.
On with the pictures.

It is spray on Superliner. I have ALWAYS hated the gold, so I wanted it gone. It had to get painted and I had them also not put back the gold pinstripping. I really like the looks now. The steps will go back on Thursday when I can pick them up, they have also been sprayed.

Re: Back from Paint

That looks hot!! I did a similar thing, but with fiberglass front fenders, removed the trim pieces and did Red Rhino Liner.

COOL!!

I used the 5" aluminized one from RPM Outlet. I had to cut the muffler bracket, shorten it, then reweld it. But other than that it went in great. It was like $431 shipped to my house and it included a 6" Stainless Tip.

Ran the flutes backwards, trying to keep the noise. But I actually think it is more quiet than the straight pipe I was running. Some of the drag tracks around here require a muffler so I decided to keep it this time

Re: Back from Paint

My buddy did it. He uses Superliner, since the plastics were off the truck it cost $250, if it was on the truck it would have cost $400
