I installed one of these from here. They have a few different installation options. I've been very happy with it since it gives me a much better view of what's behind me...Jim
Oh, by the way, welcome to TDS!

I just installed one in my 3rd brake light. Have it wired to the back up lights so it powers up and my driverside visor monitor auto switches to it when I put it in reverse.

I saw an X with a camera mounted inside the rear window looking down. It enabled the driver to guage the distance to an object on a visor monitor. I didn't get the name, but it looked good.

I saw a F250 that had one of the rear license plate lights removed and replaced with a camera lens. The monitor was the stereo in the front dash with a flip up screen. When the truck was put in reverse, the camera automatically over-rode what ever playing on the monitor so you could see what was behind you via the wide angle lens. It was a clean install and pretty cool too. I would consider one but I always back in when parking and just use my mirrors so there really is no need for one. Darn!! I've got an Eclipse AVN-2454 head unit and am considering putting in the backup camera. The head unit is already connected to the reverse lights, so if/when I hook up a camera it will automatically go to the camera display when the truck is put in R.
