Back-up gremlins

Anyone else have problems with back up sensors only working part time? Mine work fine one day and automatically turn off the next.

Re: Back-up gremlins

Mine used to be that way. Now they have failed completely. We need a cheaper more reliable supply of sensors. The dealer wants little over a $100 each.

Re: Back-up gremlins

i had the same problem, take each sensor out and test them...dirt will get in the sensor and short it out.....mine was the inner driver's side sensor....easy fix took about 10 mins and less than 70 bucks.

Re: Back-up gremlins

Mine worked great for a while, then they would go on and off, then they went off but now they work and have for a few months, I don't rely on them but when they work it is nice. So you are not alone, the cleaning trick works I am sure but I was able to skip that, if they stop again...and I know they will, I will do the cleaning trick. I would try dilectric greese in there when apart. One thing though, I tow a lot and I do not miss them not working when the trailer is on, it is a pain to keep pushing the button...and I don't want to hear how lazy I am

Re: Back-up gremlins

Mine really only tweak out when they have sat in the sun for a period of time. I just hit the button and quiet them down.
