Bilstein shocks

Hi All; I spoke to Bilstein today. Shocks were due mid-may, or june. Ride develoment has been compleated. Production date is unknown, He said to call back in a month or so. Given my past experiance with Bilstein, I will wait for them, as opposed to Edlebrock, or Rancho. I expect them to be about twice as expensive, but worth it. He did not know if there would be a dedicated PSD version.

Re: Bilstein shocks

Bilstien does have a web site, www.bilstein.com As a further note re: shocks, It seems quite possible that Edlebrock's note that the same shock can be used on the PSD Excursion is valid. The Unsprung mass is the same, regardless of weight difference. I don't quite know why they want a PSD excursion to try.

Re: Bilstein shocks

Bilstein does have shocks that MIGHT fit.

Front part# is BE5-2818, rear BE5-2819 listed for either F-250 or F-350 SuperDuty 4x4. They do not distinguish engines. Can be had for about $65 each.

Re: Bilstein shocks

Sorry about misspelled Bilstein site I have spoken to the Bilstein people twice. They never said anything about shocks for the truck , only that they have shocks for Excursions comming. I suspect maybe different valve settings. It might be that the settings for the 250/350 are to severe for the excursion, I don't know. The phone number is 800-537-1085 on the west coast, and 800-745-4636 on the east coast.

Re: Bilstein shocks

Anyone have the latest as to whether or not the Bilstein Shocks are available yet? Want to get them ordered for my new one arriving in mid Sept.
