Hi Guys-
I've already done the search but have not yet found the definitive comparison. Some of you had just installed the Bilstein but just gave us your first impressions. I'm interested in your opinions now after using them awhile. Edelbrock gets good reviews from those who have them but in some prior posts it was felt they might get "slosshy" over time
and the Bilsteins felt better.
I need to get shocks and can think of no better place to up to date, honest information. All input appreciated.

I have Edelbrocks. The Bilteins were not available at the time I upgraded. The Edelbrocks, along with a Rancho steering stabilizer and Hellwig rear stabilizer made a tremendous improvement in the X's suspension performance.
I suspect that both are very able shocks and you would do well with either. Since ride performance is a subjective "feel" there will be plenty of debate and never a resolution of the issue. Take a coin and flip it. Heads = Edelbrock, tails = Bilstein.
Otherwise you will drive yourself crazy trying to figure out which is "best".
PolrBr-
good to hear from you and sound advise as usual. I pretty much determined that, found out rear Edelbrocks were on back order so went with the Bils based on that info. BTW-how much did you pay for 55 gal Delvac 1300--I got a price of $290. Almost fell through the floor with the price of 55 gal of Delvac 1-----$1040. Wow Wee..

I think I paid $320 plus $20 for the barrel deposit. I know my price was a little high because I am dealing with a local dealer who is buying small amounts of lubricants from another dealer. The convenience of local pickup and delivery is worth the $30 a barrel.
Mobil doesn't seem to give much of a break for buying its product in bulk. A barrel of Delvac 1 only saves you 25 cents a quart which isn't much incentive to lay out 1k for motor oil.
I only went with a barrel setup because I hate pouring from 5 gal buckets and one gallon jugs are worse if you are changing oil on 4 toys that take 5 gals each and 2 psds that take another 30 qts. Also, 1 gallon jugs is an expensive way to buy oil.
