Re: brakes on 2002 ex
Couple of things
First with that many sets something is going on
I would look at the following.
You live in the mountains and or hills, so do I see Sig for both Xs
Have been checking the lug nut torque? I think not, it't critcal
Is wife riding the brake?
Ccheck caliper pins and pistons for sticking, I am dealing with this now.
Now after you check all the above and more that others will list the bottom line is you live in the mountains and from my experience std X brakes will not hold up.
I used ART rotors on my 02 after much going around and trying others.
I went back to them for the rotors for the 05 I put them on at 25 or 30k it started having problems at about 22k.
I have about 66k on it now.
Now I have the Performance friction pads from ART they work great but only when warm or hot. I will ask them for an alternative it they ever wear out.
I had the front left caliper off this past weekend to look at the caliper pins and found a likely sticking piston. The pads look new
Hope this helps
Bruce
