The biege paint on my front bumper on my 2003 X is peeling like a SOB. Anybody else have this problem?

Oh yea, mine looked like it was hit with a shotgun, after the first winter it was crap. I let it go a long time until I couldn't stand it anymore, I almost painted it but after the work of removing it and stripping it of all the plastic I had to come up with a way to never do it again. I ended up with Line X, so far 3 winters and it is still the same. Since I was at it I sandblasted the pro comp bar and shot it too. The whole thing was $120.00 with me prepping the bumper.

I did all the prep but I took it to a Line X dealer to have it done right, I have tried Hurkuliner on trailer fenders and it fades. These guys have the best mix and do it right. I sanded down the bumper, every single pit and rust spot, 100s of them, and he hung it up and sprayed it, it goes completely under the plastic. I was worried the plastic would not go back on but it did just fine. Next is the rear, I just have to figure out how to make the sensors fit back on, this builds a pretty good layer and I want to make sure it works....but it is getting a little rusted so it has to happen.

Looks great. How much did that cost you?

besides a lot of prep work and having to remove and install the bumper by myself....I had to hang the bar from the garage and rest the bumper on a stand since they use the same mount....it was a trick for sure....it was $120....would have been $75 to spray the bumper. Another nice thing is bugs rinse right off easy.

I guess this is why when I had a minor bump in the rear and then the Honda did in the front end I put the chrome bumpers on it.
