In-Channel Vent Visors for an X???

Anyone install these on their X yet??? I was thinking about getting a set and wanted to get some feed back from everyone.

What brand did you get?? I have been looking at WeatherTech, VentShade, Wade, etc. Did you do all four windows or just the fronts and how are they working?? Any gottchas or things to be aware of??

As always, thanks for the help!!!!!

Sincerly,

-Mike

Re: In-Channel Vent Visors for an X

I've had the VentShade brand on all 4 windows on my X for a year & half with no problems & I take it thru the car wash once a week.

I have wade on all four windows and they work fine, now I can open the windows without water dripping into the truck.

So Weathertech's website says they don't offer the vent visor for the X's. Did ya'll buy the ones for a SD crewcab?

Weathertech
The front set for a Super Duty will work but the rear doors on a X are larger than a Super Duty's.

Re: In-Channel Vent Visors for an X???

I have been reading this post and wanted to know are we talking about the ones in the window channel or the ones that stick on the paint? I have the one that stick on the paint and I am not sure if I want to use them. Are the ones of you that have them and have the one in the window channel how are they held in place and dose it mess with the window at all??

Re: In-Channel Vent Visors for an X???

My truck came with Vent Visor's installed. They are the stick on type. The drivers side has started to come off right at the curve. Thinking about pulling them off. With the tape it seems that it is not a matter of IF they will come off, but WHEN.

Re: In-Channel Vent Visors for an X???

bpcheramie, yes, I was asking about the ones that fit in the window channels. I cringed when I used 3m tape to attach the antenna for my Sirius radio to the roof of our X. I don't like the idea of using tape, drilling holes, etc. even though it may be the best way to go but that's just me. I wash my truck at least once a week even in the rain, before trips when it's going to get covered in dirt, mud and snow, or what ever. It's a sickness.

paul_b, I agree, if your going to do it, do all four windows.

chp_pony, dude, thank you for your feed back, imho, your deeply missed on this site.

Cool, looks like I'm going to have to add another mod to my signature.

Once again, thank you everyone for the help!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: In-Channel Vent Visors for an X???

I've had the Vent Visor stick ons on my F-250 CC since October 8,1999 and I've never had an issue with them, even down here in the heat and humidity. Truck stays out in the elements every day. I've made many trips up north to Kansas, Missouri, and Iowa, during all kinds of weather, and I love 'em. Its nice to be able to open the window a little in the back seat to pull air through and not worry about rain coming in.
