Christmas in October!!

Just ordered an SCMT, Magnaflow SS exhaust, and aFe intake for my wife's X (I will soon be willing to drive to the store for anything, at any time......as long as I can take the X!!!).

Next up is to decide on gauges....leaning towards the under dash mount(like Cobramike)...afraid of losing visibility with the pillar mount (3 kids of my own and a neighboorhood with many more).

I know, I know.....put the gauges in first....but if the SCMT happens to arrive first, can I have a little fun (+70 program) without causing any damage?

Re: Christmas in October!!

yes, I actually towed once with the 80HP setting in mine before I had guages. I made the same trip just a few weeks ago and was surprised at how cool it actually ran, I could have pushed it harder the first time. to the tune of 300 degrees.

Re: Christmas in October!!

I'm kinda leaning in the direction of the X Monitor as on Fire1's F250.

I haven't seen Mike's gauge setup in his Excursion yet,I might have to hook up with him to check the gauges out.

Re: Christmas in October!!

Check out my pics of the under dash pod/Lunars. I have gotten use to just glancing and being able to tell where I am. I put a separate dimmer on them to get the brightness I wanted and leave them.

Works for me,

Paul B

Re: Christmas in October!!

They have a nice glow to em

I'd get the same pod it's just that out Nokia hands free setup sorta takes up the view of where the gauges would go

Re: Christmas in October!!

Paul B,

Does the paint on your pod match the color of the dash? It's hard to tell from the pictures. Did you have to request the Dark Parchment paint to get it to match?

Thanks

Re: Christmas in October!!

I would put the gauges in first, but that's just me. I've seen pretty significant EGT differences on just my truck between 2 iterations of the SCMT.

JMHO.

Regards,
Dave
