Don't bother going to the auto parts store for this one. You will need a scannner/reader that will have the ability to retrieve the DTC's from a PSD. The overwhelming choice here is AutoEnginuity. It is a software program that you load onto a laptop and it has a cord that plugs into the OBDII port. It will allow you to retrieve DTC's and a whole lot more. Well worth the $$.
