Re: customer access wires, where are they inside

Look under the dash to the right of the steering column. There should be a wire tagged for customer use or something like that. At least that is what I found on my 01 EX.

Can't answer your other two q's.

Re: customer access wires, where are they inside

On both my '02 and'03 F-350 the keyed hot was in the area between the accel pedal and the heater duct, up high, white with black stripe and wrapped together with some other wires and labeled. The customer access wires that pass through the firewall were in the area of the emergency brake pedal, up high. I'm thinking that the Ex should be the same.
I can't help on the non-dimmed light switch wire.

Re: customer access wires, where are they inside

The customer access wires went through the firewall with a large bundle of wires. I found the ends when I had the headlight switch out. They were in that area. They are red, blue, white, & black with a heat shrink on the end of each one. The switched hot was poking out of a bundle approx the size of your little finger with a little black heat shrink on the end and labeled "see body builders manual" or something like that. It's 18 gauge white with a light blue stripe not a black stripe.
I'm sorry I don't have a digital camera to post some snaps. I looked for them for a while also.

Re: customer access wires, where are they inside

Look right with the wires going down to the OBDII test port under the dash, it runs right with that harness but doesn't go all the way down to the plug.
