Customer Pass Through wires

Used three of the wires to run Hella 550 driving lights. Now running fog lights in bumper opening. I used parking light as feed and need one more accsess through firewall for wire to lights, any suggestions as I ran out of feeds that Ford provides.

Re: Customer Pass Through wires

Get out your drill. There's a diamond shaped plastic plug under the brake master cylinder. You can drill through this from the inside. However, once you drill through, STOP! I didn't and wound up a good bit of the firewall insulation around the bit...not good.

Yea, I saw that but did'nt have the courage to get the drill out. Maybe I'll use a sharp awl and ease through it. Thanks

Sounds like a way better idea than I had!

Re: Customer Pass Through wires

I did what you said, popped out foam backed cover inside, made a hole in outside plastic cover, fished wire through. Lights look good and even work. Aiming was right on. Thanks for the advice.

Re: Customer Pass Through wires

Saturday I used this panel to run 2 8 gauge power wires to my amps. I cut 2 slits in the fabric flap, drilled 2 1/4" holes through the plastic panel (after removing it) and loomed from the battery through the firewall. It was the easiest power wire I have ever had to run! Let me just say the X can be one of the best sounding vehicles with a good aftermarket stereo system!! I would recommend at least chunking the 6 dual cone 5x7 pieces of junk that Ford gifted us with.
