I'm thinking about cutting about 1" off of my front bump stops. What is the best way to do this? Obviously I will measure and mark both sides so that they are even...but what should I use to cut them that will make a very straight cut? Sawzall? Anyone that has done this please explain. Out of absolute frusteration, (my F250 rode way better than X) I cut at the top ring indentation with a steak knife. Now the X bump stop is the same thickness as stock F250 stop. (maybe an inch thick)
I figured if it bottomed harshly, I'd replace with an 03' X stop. X rides great & has yet to bottom harshly. I have tried to bottom out HARD & it just doesn't. I see no reason to buy different stops now.
