Darn It! - Front Brakes

I was a bad boy. I did not check my front pads and lubricate the pins. You guys keep stating great mileage on your pads. I know I am hard on the brakes due to what I tow and the way I drive, but I thought the pads would have lasted longer the way you guys talk. My rotors have never been turned and as long as I kept the wheels torqued correctly, never had a vibration. Well yesterday, the wife called and said she heard a terrible mechanical noise. Guess what, right front inside pad is into the rotor bad. Right front outer pad less than 1/4" left. I did not check the left front yet. I did not get home to late.

Due to money and time, I guess I am going with some Perfomance Friction Carbon pads and some decent quality rotors. Any suggestions or comments.

Thanks,
John

Re: Darn It! - Front Brakes

The high end NAPA rotors have served me well, but I don't tow much or drive hard.
