I've had one deal tell me that the 3:73 rear end does not come in Limited Slip only the 3:55. I knew he was an idiot so I just walked out.
Know, I have a dealer telling me that the limited X only has Parchment (tan) leather interior. Is this true? Does anyone have an X Limited with the gray leather interior?
Thanks Again

They have Parchment or Graphite depending on exterior color. I have 3:73 limited slip on my 01 LTD. I was a pretty much a "die n hard" GM guy even ordering a Yukon 2500 XL last year. Waited 6 months then demanded my deposit back, glad I did. Good luck on your EX
Most dealerships hire two-bit bums off the street that don't know the first thing about Sales or Vehicles...much less about selling vehicles! I myself am not a gear-head whatsoever...but usually end up having a much better understanding of what's available on a vehicle than the yokel trying to con me out of my hard-earned money.
Call me bitter...but I have found that it is necessary to wear hip boots when talking with these "salesmen." There's a reason why car salesmen are usually regarded as the bottom of the "sales" barrel.
If you ever find that rare GOOD and HONEST car salesman (or mechanic, for that matter)...hold onto them for dear life!!!

I have a Y2K PSD X with the 3.73 rear end with limited slip. Cochise is and the others are right. If you are looking at one on the lot he may be trying to dazzel with brilliance and baffle you with bull sh%% to peddle one thats been in inventory a while.
Good luck

There is only one way to describe car sales men and the dealerships they work for: Self serving, money hungry, bulls@#t artists.
They are professional liars and most that I've dealt with don't know squat about the products they sell. Why should they? They will be down the street selling Geo Metros next month anyways. Heck, my 90 year old grandmother could tell you more accurate info on the X than the sales quack could.
Then there's the $ issue. Folks, this is why the dealership is in business. To make money, like any business and be profitable. The only difference being the car dealer is extremely greety and needs their 5-10K profit per vehicle. I've heard TV commercials for local dealers that read something like this: "Come on out and visit us for the best deals in town". "If it's not a good deal for you, then it's not a good deal for us"! Please... this is BS and dealers/car sales men that may be reading know this. If its a good deal for the customer, it's not for the dealer and vice versa. However, the dealer will not make the sale unless its in their best interest. Therefore, if a customer walks out the door thinking he or she got a good deal. The dealership has done their job (gouge the customer and make him feel good about it).
Happy hunting!
P.S. Remember, dealer invoice is not what the dealer pays. It is somewhere in the middle of dealer cost and MSRP.
