Just wondering if anyone knows the easiest way to remove the rear window defrost switch. The LED on mine isn't working, and instead of having to leave the truck at this hocky dealership here for a whole day, so they can "diagnose" the problem and "order" the part, I figured I would just do it myself.

Sorry, I don't know the answer to your question.

Yup, to the top.
Just wish I could find a dealership that could say "sure, bobby joe tech can look at it, order the part, and have you going in 5 minutes", "but you'll have to come back in a day or so and get the switch installed".
Instead, all I ever get is blank stares, "you'll have to leave for at least a couple hours to get it looked at, and if need be, order the part".
Is it that hard??
I'm beginning to hate this dealership more and more everyday.

You have to realize that it may be more that just a switch. We can't order a switch just because the customer says, "it's bad".
The led won't come on unless there is power going through the heater grid. The grid may be unplugged or the control module might be bad.
To get the switch out, you have to remove the entire instrument cluster bezel. It has about 30 screws holding it in.
Just be patient and let the dealership diagnose it. By the way, you can take it to any Ford dealer to have it looked at.
Just my $0.02

Guess I should have elaborated. I have a fairly extensive electronic background, and understand what you're saying, which is why I was very specific with the service right up guy. I told him the defrosters are working just fine, just no LED lighting to tell me.
It's a very simple troubleshooting procedure, really.
