Did you know that the 6.0LX is going to be a special edition?
Went to my friendly local dealer today to drive one of the new 6.0L Super duty's. Having been more than adequately informed about ford products and diesel's in general by this site for the last three years, the salesman was more than impressed with my knowledge. I'm sure many of you have experienced this before, where the salesman knows approximately 1/20th about the product as you do. Anyway, he was real nice to me and let me take it on a long test drive. On the way back I commented that it was too bad they were discontinuing the X. He said, yes, "But Ford is going to put the 6.0L in the excursion via special edition in the last year of prodcution". I said that that is real interesting [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img] [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img] [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img] On the way out of the lot, I made a special point to walk by the x's to see if they had a 6.0. Once I caught that new exaust pipe coming out the back, I walked up to it and said, "Gee wiz, you got one of them special editions one full year before anyone else. I bet you'll be able to sell that at a premium!"
He shrugged his shoulders and walked back into the building with his tail between his legs, embarrassed he doesn't have a clue about the product he is selling. Don't get me wrong, a real nice guy, but what a schmuck. KNOW YOUR PRODUCT!!!!!!!!
