Dimensions of cargo area

While waiting for my X to arrive, will be trying to design a custom storage container for the area behind the second seat. Can someone grab a tape measure and tell me what the minimum side to side clearance is inside the vehicle behind the second seat? I'm guessing the minimum occurs between the spare tire and the other side but maybe not...I would appreciate someone's help in this. Thanks.

You are correct in your assumption that the spare is the obstruction. I measure just at 49" from the bottom of the spare tire holder to the base of the rear ac molding. Hope this helps!
